ict barriers in south african education
South Africa is facing a serious challenge regarding computer literacy in schools due to lack of equipment in rural schools.most children in rural schools are unable to use computers since they are not available in their schools, if they are ,they are no longer working because they took time to get serviced.schools were going to be a better place if computers were there since almost everything is being done electronically this days. computer illiteracy impact negatively in learners future because most job needs computer literacy.

my schooling at Hllakahle high school mpumalanga province

i was on the 10th of January 2010 when the schools reopened.I went to school with my friend whose from a middle school with me.we were so scared since it was our first day at that school.we stood outside and waited to be called to the assembly,in less than an hour we were called we attended an assembly the principal got to introduce herself to all the learners she then later introduce her fellow colleagues.we then sang songs of joy  later she welcomed us all  and instructed us on were to go according to the streams we had chosen.

we all dismissed to the different classes.by that time my friend had chosen to do maths and science and i had chosen the generals{Consumer.Geourism.Geography.Maths literacy.life Orientation.IsiNdebele and English
}i went in class and set alone looking at who is getting in.they came in many of them until there was no one to come again. After an hour a lady came in an again introduced herself to everyone in the class and said she will be teaching us  maths literacy.she wen ton to ask everyone to introduce him/herself to the rest of the class.afterwards she give a peter for us to write our names on it in order for her to know how many we are in the classroom.

she went on to teach the basics of maths literacy just to remind us of what we did  the previous years.we then later went to lunch for about 1;30 minutes.i went to meet my friend  since we wanted to eat together.we grabbed a lunch then went to buy the refreshments.in no time the bell rang we went back to our classes.it was a consumer studies period. the teacher got in and introduced himself to us the distributed the learning materials.he was so smiling none stop you could see in his eyes that he was looking forward to working with us.the lesson went on and on till it was after school.then we went home
